I am Emma White, a professional marriage celebrant based in Canberra and Southern NSW (although I travel all around the country doing the job of marrying you!). In my other life I’m an actor, voice coach, a mum, and a lawyer - some of which sounds important and serious, but all it really means is that working with you to write and deliver your ceremony, and complete your legal paperwork, are some of my favourite things to do!
I don’t write solemn and stuffy marriage ceremonies, I don’t write ceremonies about generic romance and ideals of love, and I don’t write ceremonies that include any ‘traditions’ that aren’t right for you. While all ceremonies have a basic foundation, I write every ceremony from scratch based on what you tell me about you, for you. I love writing new ceremonies with you in mind, because I believe your ceremony sets the tone for your day and should reflect you. It will be honest, it will be sincere, it will be engaging, fun and it will leave you and your guests with all the feelings you need them to feel before they party with you.
Fair warning, I’ll look something like this picture at your wedding - but I will look markedly less glamorous when we meet for the first time. I promise I’ll scrub up alright for your big day!
